Flamingo Island (on Renaissance Island) is one of my favorite places to photograph weddings! I’ve photographed here about 4 years ago, and let me tell you it’s even better now than before! I just love how the flamingo’s walk around and interact with everyone – (Well if you have food to feed them that is!)

Jen and Josh had a BEAUTIFUL ceremony and reception on Renaissance Island.  I have so so many images that I could do a whole weeks worth of posts with them… So get ready – THERE ARE A LOT OF PICTURES.  There is a mixture of digital and film in here too.

We started out at the Renaissance Marina Hotel for getting ready pictures before taking a short boat trip to the island for the sunset ceremony and the starlight reception <3.  Everything was literally picture perfect. (Except for the mosquitos.  You can keep those suckers Aruba – ha)

^^^ So something I thought was AWESOME – The coral that the earrings and wedding rings are on is actual coral that Josh and Jen found on adventures around the island.  How cute, right?! Love them.

How GORGEOUS is Jen in her Pronovias gown?!

So the pictures above I thought we SO special… The bride circles the groom seven times and then the groom circles the bride.  This is a tradition in Jewish ceremonies coming from when Joshua led the Children of Israel in the battle for the city of Jericho, he was instructed to circle the city seven times, resulting in the walls of the city crumbling. As two people enter into marriage, they face the challenge of breaking down the “walls” that may exist between them. Isn’t that awesome?

I was SO pumped for this picture above.  The officiant actually said “Okay you two, smile for the photographer with the rings.” Ive never had a shout out during the ceremony before – I was thinking “rock on preacher man!” haha. LOVED it.

I told you it was long! If you’ve stuck with us this whole post thank you!
